UHM Kookhwa, Ph.D.

Both Mr. LIANG Yaoshen and Dr. UHM Kookhua are summer research fellows at the BC Ricci Institute. Mr. LIANG is a doctoral student in musicology from the University College Cork, Ireland. His research is on the contributions in music by Matteo Ricci, S.J. (1552-1610) to the cross-cultural exchanges between China and the West. Dr. Uhm is on the faculty of Soongsil University, South Korea. A Presbyterian minister, Dr. Uhm’s research focuses on comparative studies in philosophy.

Scholarships for the summer research fellows at the BC Ricci Institute are made possible by the Ricci Institute Scholarship Endowment and a grant from the Henry Luce Foundation in New York.
