This conversation will explore how families can achieve economic stability in an era when financial risks once shared by government and employers have increasingly been shifted onto individuals.

Drawing on the themes of Patricia McCoy’s Sharing Risk: The Path to Economic Well-Being for All, and Kim Janey’s leadership in advancing equity and opportunity at EMPath: Economic Mobility Pathways, the discussion will consider how social safety nets based on risk-sharing—old and new—can help families meet five essential milestones of stability: making ends meet, accessing health care, affording college, owning a home, and retiring securely. Together, McCoy and Janey will reflect on how policy, community leadership, and equity-driven strategies can work in concert to build a more secure and inclusive economic future.

RSVP here by Monday, February 23.
