We're pleased begin the 2021 spring semester on January 8 with the incomparable Donal Ryan, star author of The Spinning Heart and of the just released winner of the 2020 An Post "Irish Novel of the Year," Strange Flowers.

“A SUBLIME MASTERPIECE” according to The Irish Independent, and “a compassionate tale of homecoming” says the Guardian. They’re describing Strange Flowers, the latest novel from one of Ireland’s most admired writers. Born in County Tipperary, Donal Ryan’s first novel, The Spinning Heart (2012), won the Guardian First Book Award and the EU Prize for Literature and Book of the Year at the Irish Book Awards. Ryan is a professor of creative writing at the University of Limerick  and one of the most exciting personalities THE IRISH INFLUENCE in association with the Consulate General of Ireland in Boston will be bringing you this Spring.
