SACRU Graduate Student Seminar — A sustainable future: research delivering impact for the 21st century
Thursday, November 11, 2021 7am to 8:30am
About this Event
Graduate students are invited to participate in the inaugural SACRU Research Student Seminar on the theme ‘A sustainable future: research delivering impact for the 21st century.’ 5-minute presentations will connect students' research with one or more of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the goals of Laudato si’, Pope Francis’ encyclical on caring for our common home. At the heart of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is the recognition that global efforts to end poverty must also work to improve health and education for all, reduce inequality, and promote economic opportunity while addressing action on climate change and environmental degradation. The 7 Laudato Si’ Goals (LSGs) also respond to the interconnectedness of social, economic and environmental justice in building and protecting our common home and supporting the common good.
