The Research Program on Children and Adversity is proud to host the Grants & sponsored Research IniTiative (GRIT). GRIT is a monthly webinar that aims to create a space for new investigators to receive constructive feedback from peers on grant proposals for NIH and other funders, and provide an opportunity for senior investigators to share their research expertise with others in the spirit of capacity building. All aspiring and experienced researchers are welcome to participate.
Dr. Haroz will be presenting on "Implementation and Sustainability of Suicide Prevention Programs in American Indian Communities." This seminar will discuss the use of community-based systems dynamic modeling to inform our understanding of implementation and sustainability of suicide prevention programing.
Emily E. Haroz, PhD is an Associate Scientist in the Department of International Health, Division of Social and Behavioral Interventions, and the Department of Mental Health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. Haroz's research focuses on mental health services for low-resource and underserved populations. Her training is in psychiatric epidemiology, including a background in advanced methodological approaches and study design. Dr. Haroz's current work focuses on suicide prevention by leveraging artificial intelligence and implementation science to better serve communities that face significant related disparities.
