The BC OEI leadership team would like to invite OEI Cohort school leaders to join us in Round 2 of our ongoing OSE leadership professional development series. This session runs concurrently with the teacher OSE professional learning event on Feb.6.-7.

When: Feb 7th 9:30 - 2:30 at Connors Center, Dover, MA 

Audience: OEI Cohort school leaders, or school leaders who have participated in the Leader Launch PD offered this summer or have equivalent support experience with OpenSciEd (e.g., using an observation tool that aligns with the OSE instructional model and a good understanding of what the instructional model looks like in classrooms). 

Cost: OEI Cohort school leaders, or school leaders who are registered for the 2-day event on Feb 6-7, may attend at no additional cost. The cost of the event for non-OEI Cohort Schools is $250 plus the cost of overnight lodging ($75 per night), if requested. In the event of cancellation within two weeks of the event date, districts will be responsible for the registration fee plus lodging, if requested. 

In this session, leaders will:

• Dig more deeply into the parts of the OpenSciEd instructional model that are most pivotal to equitable student learning. 
• Consider how to support teachers in moving beyond mechanical use to increase the impact on students. 
• Examine concerns of the teachers in your school(s) in order to consider appropriate supports and interventions for implementing OpenSciEd
