Join Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts attorneys Sheila Ramirez, Director of Health Policy and Government Relations, and MaryRose Mazzola, Director of the ASPIRE Center for Sexual and Reproductive Health, for a workshop on the Constitution and abortion rights. We'll review the development of the constitutional right to privacy, contraception, and abortion, analyze the cases that led to the Dobbs decision, and discuss current cases, including Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine v. FDA, which seeks to ban mifepristone, one of the drugs used for medication abortion. Students will then engage in a legal and legislative drafting and strategy exercise.
