What Makes an Event Accessible?

Accessibility doesn't start when your first participant arrives in the room; it starts in the planning process. This interactive workshop will walk through the values and decision-making that go into designing events with fewer access barriers. Participants will have the opportunity to think through an event they're planning at any scale and consider practical decisions they can apply to their own context.

This session is designed for anyone who organizes conferences, programs, or events for their department. You'll leave with resources and a checklist to support accessible event planning.
