She grew up in Lexington, KY and attended Harvard for College and Medical School before completing her Internal Medicine training at Massachusetts General Hospital. She completed a Chief Resident year and is now finishing her fellowship training. Since medical school, her research interests have focused on ways to mitigate racial inequities in health care by challenging the use of race/ethnicity in clinical algorithms for their potential to exacerbate health disparities.
