The Real Estate Colloquium course offers a comprehensive real estate overview featuring sessions led by industry professionals covering finance, investment, law, planning, and public policy. Topics include REITs, capital markets, leasing, brokerage, and development. Through moderated discussions with diverse industry representatives, students explore their interests and gain insights into career potential academic and career paths within real estate.
The Corcoran Center for Real Estate and Urban Action invites students, faculty, and staff to hear from Sheila Dillon, Chief of Housing and Director of the Mayor's Office of Housing.
Chief Dillon is dedicated to public service as a Board member of Massachusetts Housing Investment Corporation, an Advisory Member of the Local Initiatives Support Collaborative, and the Rian Immigrant Center.
Before she was appointed Chief of Housing, Sheila served as the Director of the Bureau of Rental Assistance at the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development. She was also the Director of Real Estate at the Massachusetts Housing Partnership and the Director of Development for the Dorchester Bay Economic Development Corporation.
Chief Dillon received her undergraduate degree from the State University of New York, and graduate degrees from Pepperdine University and Suffolk University. She currently lives in Boston with her family.
