Guest Speaker: Robert Hart

Robert E. Hart is the founder, President, and CEO of TruAmerica, which he established in 2013. Under his leadership, TruAmerica has become one of the most active multifamily investors in the United States and a Top 25 apartment owner according to the National Multifamily Housing Council.

With nearly four decades in the multifamily industry, Mr. Hart previously served as chief executive of Kennedy Wilson's multifamily platform, where he acquired more than 20,000 apartment units valued at over $4.5 billion. He has also held senior roles at Heitman Capital Management and Executive Life Insurance Company.

Named one of the most influential business leaders in Los Angeles by the Los Angeles Business Journal and Los Angeles Times, Mr. Hart serves on the boards of industry organizations including the NMHC and Urban Land Institute. He is actively involved in philanthropy, serving on the board of Chrysalis and receiving the Spirit of Life Award from City of Hope in 2017.

Mr. Hart holds a BS in Civil Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management.
