About this Event
Devlin, 101
While scholarly attention to strengths and virtues is to be welcomed, positive psychological approaches to character strengths in general – and forgiveness, gratitude, and hope in particular – could be enriched by engaging with philosophical and theological accounts. Positive psychological accounts of these characteristics tend to emphasize the instrumental benefits of these virtues, particularly their role in effecting emotional regulation and promoting individual wellbeing.
