On Tuesday, October 29, 2024 from 12-1:30 p.m. the Rappaport Center for Law and Public Policy will present “Protecting LGBTQ+ Rights” with Mary Bonauto, Senior Director of Civil Rights and Legal Strategies, GLBTQ Legal Advocates & Defenders (GLAD) moderating the discussion. Bonauto is a renowned attorney who has led numerous landmark cases in the fight for LGBTQ+ rights, including the historic cases of Goodridge v. Department of Public Health and Obergefell v. Hodges that legalized same-sex marriage initially in Massachusetts and then nationwide. Bonauto will lead a conversation with panelists Polly Crozier, Director of Family Advocacy at GLAD (and BC Law alum), and Chris Erchull, Senior Staff Attorney at GLAD, both of whom have extensive experience in family law and transgender rights advocacy.
