Patrick Downes, Psy.D., returns to Boston College to give the Ignatian Society's inaugural AMDG Lecture. Downes, a Double Eagle who graduated from the Lynch School of Education in 2005 and BC High in 2001, was severely injured in the Boston Marathon bombing alongside his wife, Jessica Kensky. 

AMDG, ad maiorem Dei gloriam, is the motto of the Jesuits and the namesake of the Ignatian Society's annual lecture. Translated from Latin, it means "for the greater glory of God."
