The BC OEI leadership team would like to invite OEI Cohort school leaders to join us for our Round 1 Leader Professional Learning experience.  This session runs concurrently with the teacher 4-day Launch, so that some learning may be done alongside teachers implementing OpenSciEd.

Session date: Tuesday September 19.

Time: 9:30 - 3:00 Please feel free to join at 8:00 and participate in the whole group educator session with your teachers, we will start at 9:30.

In this session, leaders will:

• Experience immersion as a student in the OpenSciEd curriculum
• Consider how OpenSciEd supports standards-aligned and equitable science learning
• Utilize tools and consider how to support the OpenSciEd adoption & implementation

COST: OEI Cohort school leaders, or school leaders who are registered for the 4-day Launch,, may attend at no additional cost. The cost of the event for non-OEI Cohort Schools is $250 plus the cost of overnight lodging ($75 per night). In the event of cancellation, within two weeks of the event date, districts will be responsible for the registration fee plus lodging, if requested. 

NOTE: If overnight lodging is requested, consider the following.  All rooms are single occupancy. Some rooms at the Connors Center have shared bathrooms and not all rooms are air conditioning. Please indicate on the registration form if any special accommodations are needed. We will be reserving a block of rooms at a nearby hotel in Needham for participants that will need accommodations.
