POSTPONED: New Testament and Early Christian Studies Day 2020
Due to the ongoing COVID-19/novel coronavirus pandemic, NTECS has been postponed to a date TBD in Fall 2020. Please contact Alexander D'Alisera (dalisera@bc.edu) and Chance Bonar (chancebonar@g.harvard.edu) with any questions.
New Testament and Early Christian Studies Day 2020 (NTECS) is the successor conference to the former Harvard-Yale-Brown Day, and is now open to all New England institutions and all academic disciplines. As an interdisciplinary and diachronic conference, NTECS 2020 presentations engage with eras from Second Temple Judaism to the early medieval period and with disciplines such as history, theology, archaeology, literary studies, and New Testament studies. NTECS 2020 thus seeks to interrogate the traditional geographic, temporal, and disciplinary boundaries of the field of "early Christian studies" as a whole.
Conference panels will take place from 10am-4pm at Boston College's Connolly House on April 3rd, 2020, and there will be a reception to follow.
Panels include:
- Christianity at the Roman Borderlands
- Confluences of Embodiment, Materiality, and Textuality
- Teaching and Researching Beyond the R1 University
This conference is free to attend and open to the public. If you plan to attend, please fill out our RSVP form at your convenience. Any questions may be directed to the conference co-organizers, Alexander D'Alisera (dalisera@bc.edu) and Chance Bonar (chancebonar@g.harvard.edu).
NTECS 2020 is graciously co-sponsored by:
- Boston College Graduate School of the Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences
