FOURTH ANNUAL STM RELIGIOUS EDUCATION LECTURE
STM TENTH ANNIVERSARY EVENT

Presenter: Theresa A. O’Keefe, STM associate professor of the practice of youth and young adult faith

Adolescence is the time in life when humans first gain the capacity to think in expansive ways, to imagine their lives beyond self-interest. But they are not likely to do this without prompting. Dr. O'Keefe argues that religious education for adolescents should make them aware of Christian narratives and practices that show the ever-widening horizon of God's love and offer a vision of hope for the world and their lives.
