Legal History Roundtable with Jose Carlos Fernandez Salas (Harvard University)
Jose Carlos has served as a professor of property (Derechos Reales) at the Department of Law of Catholic University of Peru since 2019. He graduated as a lawyer from Catholic University Law School in 2013 and practiced law for 5 years at the Lima office of Baker McKenzie. In 2019, Jose Carlos graduated with a masters in urban planning from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. From 2019 to 2021, he served as legal advisor for the Metropolitan Institute of Planning of Lima and then as Director of Urbanism of the Ministry of Housing of Peru. Since 2021, Jose Carlos has been pursuing a Ph.D. in urban history at the Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.
