View map Free EventInspired by the textiles displayed in the woodblock prints of Eaglemania: Collecting Japanese Art in Gilded Age America, the McMullen invites kids (ages 5–12) and families to experiment with their own fabric. Following a brief tour of the exhibition, we will explore a couple of different Japanese textile processes, including shibori (indigo dyeing) and fabric painting. Kids are welcome to bring their own t-shirts, fabric, etc. The Museum will also provide fabric and materials free of charge.
