Dr. Terry will present a recently approved program to conduct a large coordinated-parallel Hubble Space Telescope (HST) imaging survey of the upcoming Roman Galactic Bulge Time Domain Survey (RGBTDS) fields. Precursor imaging of this area with HST several years before the start of the Roman Galactic Exoplanet Survey (RGES) will greatly strengthen Roman’s ability to characterize a majority of detected exoplanet systems, as well as provide a rich and wide-field archive for use as a Legacy dataset toward the Galactic bulge for the broader community.

Speaker: Dr. Terry received his Bachelor's degree in physics & astronomy from George Mason University in Virginia, and his Master's degree and PhD from Catholic University in Washington, DC. He was a postdoctoral scholar at UC Berkeley for three years before returning to the DC area for a postdoc appointment at UMD and NASA Goddard. He is a current member of the Roman Galactic Exoplanet Survey Project Infrastructure Team where he is involved in the survey design, simulations, data reduction and analysis pipelines, and public outreach for the Roman mission.
