Immigrants' Rights and Speech: a Lunch Talk with Professor Mary Holper, SALSA and NLG @ BC
Thursday, April 10, 2025 12pm to 1:15pm
About this Event
Boston College, Boston College Law School, 885 Centre Street, Newton, MA 02459, USA
Please join National Lawyers Guild @ BC, SALSA and Immigration Clinic Director Mary Holper for a lunch talk about the rise in targetings of non-citizen activists. During this talk, we'll begin to examine the interplay of constitutional and immigration legal issues as advocates, and we'll aim to place recent cases like the detention of Mahmoud Khalil and Jeanette Vizguerra in context of a larger history of the U.S. targeting non-citizen people of color who are organizing for social change. Please RSVP for food.
