Please join us for our Grants and Research IniTiative (GRIT) seminar/webinar series sponsored by the Research Program on Children and Adversity at Boston College School of Social Work. The RPCA GRIT seminar series aims to increase regional knowledge base and capacity for implementation research; build a stronger mutual learning network; and provide training and learning opportunities for partners tied to training grant objectives to receive formal training on data and implementation science.
Join us for a thought-provoking lecture with Dr. Thierry C. Uhawenimana, who will present findings from the first phase of a groundbreaking research initiative aimed at improving HIV/AIDS prevention among young single mothers working in alcohol-serving establishments. Dr. Uhawenimana will discuss the contextual vulnerabilities faced by these women—ranging from negative personal experiences and poor workplace protections to broader social determinants of health—and outline strategies for creating more equitable and effective public health responses in the informal employment sector.
Please Note: This event is hybrid. Registration is required.
