PYNE MEMORIAL LECTURE ON MINISTRY WITH PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES

From Friends To Allies: Forming Relationships Between People With and Without Disabilities

Attend in person or virtually - Register here

This lecture offers the opportunity for theological, spiritual, and practical reflection on forming friendships between people with and without disabilities. Thomas Murphy draws on wisdom and perspectives shared with him by friends with intellectual disabilities over twenty years of living and working together in the communities of L'Arche, an inclusive community where people with and without intellectual disabilities share life and build friendships. Be challenged to consider a more expansive potential for friendships and ways to foster deep belonging, resist ableism and form allies within your communities of faith.

Sponsored by the Boston College Clough School of Theology and Ministry, and generously supported by the Pyne Endowment Trust in memory of Professor Margaret E. Pyne, a lifelong advocate for persons with disabilities.
