About this Event

https://bc.campuslabs.com/engage/event/11421342Please note: This workshop contains significant overlap with the ACT Grading for Learning workshop, so we recommend that you not attend if you have already received credit for the other workshop.
This workshop focuses on grading at two levels: 1) the grade breakdown that forms part of any course syllabus and 2) grading major assignments. By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- describe how a student's goal orientation and mindset can impact their learning in a course and attitude towards grades
- determine the elements of a course grade breakdown that promote a mastery goal orientation and growth mindset in students
- evaluate the elements of a grading rubric that would help them grade fairly
Enrollment is limited; please register as soon as possible, but no later than October 1, 2025.
This is one of 5 required workshops for the Foundations of Teaching (FT) Program. Those who miss more than ten minutes of a session will not receive FT Program credit for that workshop.
