Please note: This workshop contains significant overlap with the ACT Assignment Design workshop, so we recommend that you not attend if you have already received credit for the other workshop.

 

This workshop focuses on the second step of the three-step backward design process: designing major assignments. By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  • determine which types of assignments best align with a given learning outcome
  • describe the elements of transparent assignment design
  • evaluate the transparency of an assignment 

 

Enrollment is limited; please register as soon as possible, but no later than September 17, 2025.

This is one of 5 required workshops for the Foundations of Teaching (FT) Program. Those who miss more than ten minutes of a session will not receive FT Program credit for that workshop.
