The 2024 George E. Ganss, S.J. Award will be presented to Stefania Tutino, Professor of History at the University of California, Los Angeles. Dr. Tutino will give this year's Feore Family Lecture on Jesuit Studies.

In this talk, Dr. Stefania Tutino reflects on the necessity of engaging with the history of the Society of Jesus for understanding the early modern and modern world. Interweaving an account of her own personal trajectory within Jesuit studies with more general considerations on the state of the field, she seeks to make the case for the centrality of Jesuit studies for a wide array of historical and historiographical questions.
