As part of the McMullen Museum’s Earth Day Celebration, BC Chemistry Alum and Global Research and Development Professional Jim ”Strad” Engler and Doctor of Theology and Ministry, Chaplain, and Spiritual Director Georgia Gojmerac-Leiner of the Green Team at Saint Ignatius will offer an exploration of the current exhibition, Wonders of Creation: Art, Science & Innovation in the Islamic World, through the lenses of both Pope Francis’s call to care for the earth in Laudato Si’ (2015) and the sixth-century practice of Visio Divina, or “sacred seeing” through art.
Guests will meet on the second floor outside of the galleries and spend 20 minutes on a guided tour, followed by 20 minutes of self-exploration, ending with shared reflection and conversation. All are welcome, but seats are limited. Please register here.
