Dora Rodriguez is a Salvadoran immigrant, activist, and founder of Salvavision, a nonprofit supporting migrants and deportees. In 1980, while fleeing El Salvador’s civil war, she was one of thirteen survivors found near death in the Sonoran Desert—an experience that has shaped her commitment to migrant justice. Her new memoir, Dora: A Daughter of Unforgiving Terrain, recounts her journey and honors those who did not survive.

Following her talk, there will be a reception, book signing and gallery opening. Books will be available for purchase.
