STM 10TH ANNIVERSARY LECTURE

Thursday, March 21, 5:30–7:00 p.m.

Corcoran Commons, Heights Room, Chestnut Hill Campus

Margaret Eletta Guider, O.S.F., STM professor of missiology, and chair, Ecclesiastical Faculty

As communities of faith throughout the world grapple with the factors that contribute to sexual abuse, much of the discourse on the subject focuses on analyses of power relations, socio-cultural conditions, and psychological pathologies. In this lecture, Sr. Guider turns attention on an attribution theory that is lacking in many Catholic circles: critical theological reflection on the mystery of evil.
