As icecaps in the north continue to recede, new pathways will open for ships and trade, increasing the risk of foreign bodies reaching the U.S.. Climate change thereby act as a “threat multiplier” due to its causation of the rise of threats from unstable countries. It's imperative that we evaluate the threats climate change continues to bring, and discuss how climate change must be addressed in order to continue to defend our nation.
