The Event: Finding Hope in an Existential Crisis
How do we maintain a sense of agency and optimism in the face of monumental global challenges? In this special session, hosts David Deese and Chris Citorik are teaming up with Rob Nazarian—Fairfield University physics professor and host of his own climate-focused podcast—for a unique collaborative deep dive into the future of our planet.
Historically, bringing scientific expertise to the general public has been a challenge; this event explores how communication, messaging, and concrete actionable change can bridge that gap. We will be joined by a panel of four faculty experts from diverse fields to discuss their research, the necessity of climate adaptation, and the "reasons for hope" that keep them moving forward. (Note: We are currently finalizing our guest list—stay tuned and check back soon for the full line-up of featured experts!)
Please stay for lunch and informal conversation immediately following the recording.
