Certificate in College Teaching: Strategies for Effective Lecturing (Remote)
Wednesday, July 22, 2026 12pm to 1pm
About this Event
Please note: This workshop contains significant overlap with the ACT Strategies for Effective Lecturing workshop, so we recommend that you not attend if you have already received credit for the other workshop.
There are a number of alternatives to the traditional lecture, but having the presentation and planning skills required to present an effective lecture can still be essential in the classroom. This interactive workshop will explore strategies for designing and structuring an engaging, learner-centered lecture.
Enrollment is limited; please register as soon as possible, but no later than July 15th, 2026.
This is one of the elective workshops for the Certificate in College Teaching (CCT) Program. Those who miss more than ten minutes of a session will not receive CCT Program credit for that workshop.
