Office for Institutional Diversity welcomes you to join our Fall 2023 Living Out the Jesuit, Catholic Mission: Diverse Perspectives Series.

Boston College's Church in the 21st Century Center (C21) serves as a catalyst and resource for renewal of the Catholic Church. Join the Office for Institutional Diversity to hear from Karen Kiefer, Director of the C21, as she shares some of the challenges ahead, what over 4,000 young people shared about their hopes for the Church, and discover more opportunities to grow in faith and in friendship with others through the work of the Center.

Karen Kiefer '82 serves as the director of the Church in the 21st Century Center at Boston College. Before joining the C21 Center in 2008, she held positions in University Advancement and as an adjunct faculty member in the Communication Department. Karen is the founder of Spread the Bread, an award-winning, nonprofit organization and taught religious education in local parishes for 25 years. She is author of the children's book, "The Misfit Sock" and recently authored the children's book, "Drawing God", sparking a world-wide movement. The mother of four daughters, Karen resides in Wayland with her husband, Sam.
