DESCRIPTION:The Boston College Hellenic Alumni Network (BCHAN) invites you 
 to join in a conversation with Congressman John Sarbanes\, D-Md. Through a 
 question and answer format\, we will explore issues ranging from democracy 
 reform to climate change in the United States as well as ask him about curr
 ent issues of interest and concern to Greek Americans.\n\nRegister here!\n\

 man John Sarbanes has represented Maryland's Third Congressional District i
 n the U.S. Congress since 2007.\n\nHe currently serves on the House Committ
 ee on Energy and Commerce and the House Subcommittee on Environment and Cli
 mate Change. He serves as vice chair of the House Subcommittee on Health. C
 ongressman Sarbanes also serves on the House Oversight and Reform Committee
  and its Subcommittee on Government Operations. Since 2017\, he has chaired
  the Democracy Reform Task Force\, a bold effort in the House of Representa
 tives to build a government that puts the public's interests ahead of speci
 al interests.\n\nBorn and raised in Baltimore\, Congressman Sarbanes has ex
 perience working in the public\, private\, and nonprofit sectors. He and hi
 s family live in Towson\, giving him the opportunity to drive home every ni
 ght and hear from the people he serves in Congress. Listening to their conc
 erns allows him to better represent Maryland and has shaped his work in the
  House of Representatives.
