Anderson “AJ” Franklin Unity Against Racism Lecture
About this Event
245 Beacon St Chestnut Hill, MA 02467
Racism is woven into the fabric of this nation and is integral to the meaning behind
its 250th birthday. The narrative of the ongoing battle against racism reflects, at
various times, unity as well as resilience borne of struggle, courage, and a humanity
captured by the Zulu concept of UBUNTU “my humanity is inextricably bound up in
yours.” The talk describes multiple levels of racism from individual to institutional
to cultural and the psychological mechanisms that enable resilience to survive and
evolve to create a better world.
