With a background in Physics and Chemistry from UMass Amherst, Professor Hession-Kunz has built a career marked by innovation. He's founded several successful tech startups with notable exits and collaborated with various venture capital funds. Now, he shares his expertise with students at Boston College, teaching them how to navigate the world of startups and venture capital.

Hession-Kunz is currently a senior lecturer in the Seidner Department of Finance. He has founded and been a senior executive/board member at multiple high-tech start-ups and has raised professional (VC) capital for three of these firms. Most recently, he was an early investor, advisor, CFO, and VP for Business Development at Innov-X Systems, Inc., Woburn, Massachusetts, a $100M manufacturer of industrial material analysis tools sold to Olympus.
