DESCRIPTION:Working from a very broad definition of “assignment\,” this
  interactive Apprenticeship in College Teaching (ACT) seminar invites part
 icipants to think through the qualities of an effective assignment as well
  as strategies for structuring assignments that are meaningful and motivat
 ing to students. We’ll also consider how learning science research can i
 nform our thinking about assignment design. Francesca Minonne will facilit
