Carla Brown served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Comoros Islands (1992–1994), teaching English and supporting health projects. Her service launched a 25-year career in international development across Sub-Saharan Africa, including senior roles with Catholic Relief Services and the Catholic Medical Mission Board.

Carla has managed portfolios of up to $20 million and 145 staff, overseeing programs in health, education, agriculture, and more. A Boston College alumna, Carla is fluent in English and French and serves as Incoming President of the National Peace Corps Association Board.
