1Ls: The first year of law school offers limited ways for students to meet and assist real clients.  If you'd like an opportunity to do this type of work, but through a discrete experience that will not greatly impact your studies, come to an info session on Wednesday, February 11, from 12-1pm with Prof. Cheryl Bratt to hear more.   Approximately 10-15 1L students will be selected randomly to participate in one of two legal clinics through the Lawyers Clearinghouse, a local nonprofit that partners with local law firms to offer free legal assistance to individuals who face housing insecurity.  Each clinic takes place on either a Thursday afternoon (3:30 - 6pm) or Friday morning (9-12), and students will work alongside law firm associates and partners.  Student responsibilities do not extend beyond preparing for and assisting in the one clinic to which the student is assigned.  You must attend the info session to be eligible to participate.
