1Ls: The first year of law school offers limited ways for students to meet and assist real clients.  If you'd like an opportunity to do this type of work, but through a discrete experience that will not greatly impact your studies, come to an info session on Thursday, February 20, from 12-1pm with Prof. Cheryl Bratt to hear more. Approximately 15-20 1L students will be selected randomly to participate in one of two legal clinics through the Lawyers Clearinghouse, a local nonprofit that offers free legal assistance to individuals who face housing insecurity.  Each clinic takes place on either a Thursday afternoon (3:30 - 6pm) or Friday morning (9-12), and student responsibilities do not extend beyond preparing for and assisting in the one clinic to which the student is assigned.  You must attend the info session to be eligible to participate.
