Cartoneros
  EMAIL TO FRIEND

Cartoneros      Screening of the documentary film Cartoneros (which means "scavenger"), followed by Q&A with film director Ernesto Livon-Grosman, associate professor of Spanish languages and literature. The film documents how economic dislocation in Buenos Aires has led street people and former members of the middle class to create an organized industry of collecting and selling recyclable trash. Livon-Grosman has been invited to screen the film at several festivals including the Boston Latino International Film Festival, the Festival Internacional de Cine de Santo Domingo, and the Finger Lake Film Festival.
