RISE3 Symposium: Race, Place, Poverty & Outcomes
RISE3 Symposium: Race, Place, Poverty & Outcomes - Exploring Intersectionality in Criminal Justice
Join us for the second symposium this year funded by the Institute for Liberal Arts, co-sponsored by the BC School of Social Work, and hosted by Research in Social, Economic and Environmental Equity (RISE3). Each symposium invites one scholar and one senior practitioner to interrogate the impact of the intersection of racial identity, poverty status and place on outcomes in a key area of social policy. We are proud to present Assistant Professor of Sociology at Boston University, Jessica Simes, and Founder, Prosecutor Impact, and former Assistant District Attorney, Juvenile Division, Adam J. Foss, in a discussion focused on Criminal Justice.
