Join us for lunch with BC alum Peter Bell, General Partner at Amity Ventures! Discuss Peter's journey as an investor and entrepreneur, then network with Peter & fellow students interested in entrepreneurship.
Peter Bell is a General Partner at Amity Ventures. He focuses his energy and expertise on partnering with entrepreneurs to build companies of consequence. His efforts as an entrepreneur and early stage investor over the past 20 years have resulted in investor liquidity of in excess of $6 Billion. Currently, Mr. Bell’s thematic areas of focus include: Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Digital Health, Cyber-security, Internet of Things, Autonomous Logistics, Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, Personal/Mobile Commerce, Payments, and Enterprise Software.
Prior to this, he spent 10 years at Highland Capital Partners, a $4B global venture capital firm, where he led investments in early-stage technology companies eventually becoming the Managing General Partner of the firm. He also has experience at EMC Corporation, which was later bought by Dell. Additionally, he co-foundded StorageNetworks, a pioneer in cloud computing, in 1998, and he later formed his own investment firm, Stowe Capital, in 2003. He has served on the board of numerous technology companies over the past two decades; including: Gigamon, RentJuice, LevelUp, WePay, and ENJOY. Peter has also taught in MIT Sloan School of Management and BC CSOM. While teaching at BC, he was a Distinguished Executive in Residence. Peter holds a BS in Management from Boston College, an MBA from the Harvard Business School, and an Honorary Doctorate from Babson College.
