About CJ Reim:
Prior to Amity, CJ was a Vice President on the investment team at Highland Capital Partners where he focused on technology investments across all stages of company growth. Investments CJ either sourced or was actively involved in at Highland raised over $300M in financing during his tenure. Notably, CJ sourced and helped lead Series A investments in Bitnet (acquired by Rakuten), Omni Storage, and SmartThings (acquired by Samsung; est. 700%+ IRR). In addition, CJ helped manage the firm's investments in Shift Cars, Scopely, and Malwarebytes. CJ also led Highland's Summer@Highland entrepreneurship program which, over its nine-year history, has mentored 50 student-led startups from inception, including Cloudflare, Handy, Wellframe, and Wildfire (acquired by Google) who have gone on to raise over $400M in aggregate venture capital financing.
Previously, CJ was the co-founder and CEO of Applied Power Innovations, an energy services company focused on increasing the install velocity of green technologies. Under his leadership, Applied Power Innovations went from idea to shipping hardware in under 18 months and developed a securitization approach to financing renewable energy solutions.
CJ holds a B.S. in Management with concentrations in Finance and Information Systems from Boston College.
