Lunch & Networking with an Entrepreneur: Peter Bell, Highland Capital
Join us for lunch with BC alum Peter Bell, Senior Advisor at Highland Capital!
Discuss Peter's journey as an investor and entrepreneur, then network with Peter & fellow students interested in entrepreneurship. Peter fell in love with startups after spending 10 years as an early employee at EMC, where he experienced firsthand how the right product, business model, and innovation can kill a market incumbent. Bell focuses on companies in the information security, e-commerce, cloud infrastructure, mobile, enterprise software, and communications industries. At Highland, Bell is directly involved with Bitnet, Bromium, and many more early-stage companies. Previously, Bell founded Stowe Capital, where as Managing Director, he helped emerging growth companies secure financing and find their place in the market. Prior to that, he co-founded StorageNetworks, where as CEO, he took the company from concept to $120 million in annual revenue inside of three years. By the time StorageNetworks went public, Peter had closed six rounds of financing totaling over $700 million. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from Boston College, an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, and an Honorary Doctorate from Babson College.
Lunch is provided by the Shea Center for Entrepreneurship.
