Last Lecture: "History and Memory, Histories and Memories"
If granted the possibility to give a last lecture, what would you say? What wisdom would you impart to the world? What would you want as your legacy? This lecture series tries to tackle these questions from different perspectives inviting faculty who dare to reflect about their lives.
This year, Professor James O'Toole will present "History and Memory, Histories and Memories." He will reflect on his personal connections to Boston College, which are long, many, and varied: as a student, as a faculty member, as the author of a forthcoming history of the university. Changes -- personal and professional, expected and unexpected -- mark the course of his lifelong connections with this institution.
