Faith Formation: Past, Present, and Future
As part of STM’s 10th Anniversary, join us for a light supper and consider how the work of the Department of Religious Education and Pastoral Ministry has influenced and continues to shape the Church’s tradition of handing on the faith. Jane Regan situates the present practice of faith formation in the United States through a brief examination of its history and Tom Groome focuses on the present and future of this important ministry with particular attention to the Credo high school religion series.
Presenters: Thomas H. Groome, STM professor of theology and religious education and general editor, Credo high school religion series; and Jane E. Regan, STM associate professor of theology and religious education and chair, Department of Religious Education and Pastoral Ministry.
Free of charge; includes supper. Please register.
