CANCELLED: Currents Presents: Gabriel Sosa
Gabriel Sosa is an artist, linguist, and educator based in Boston. Born and raised in Miami, he obtained an M.F.A. from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University in 2016. Working in video, drawing, and installation, he combines his interests in law, translation, memory, and social inequality, often rooting his work in his experiences as a court interpreter and a Cuban-American. Most recently an artist-in-residence at Lugar a dudas in Cali, Colombia, he is currently a Visiting Lecturer at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
Currents is a lecture and discussion series by local thinkers and makers that is open and free to everyone.
