Coming to See Privilege Systems: The Surprising Journey
Peggy McIntosh, Senior Research Associate of the Wellesley Centers for Women, Wellesley College, will speak on systems of privilege. Dr. McIntosh founded the National SEED Project on Inclusive Curriculum (Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity) 35 years ago. She is widely known for her papers on privilege—White Privilege and Male Privilege: A Personal Account of Coming to See Correspondences through Work on Women’s Studies and White Privilege: Unpacking the Invisible Knapsack. She consults throughout the world with college and school faculty who are creating more gender-fair and multicultural curricula.
