Balancing Climate Science and Policy in Academia and Government
Biology 1503/History 1511 (Science and Technology in American Society), the Winston Center for Leadership and Ethics, and the Environmental Studies Program present a conversation with Daniel Schrag. Mr. Schrag is the Director of Harvard’s Center for the Environment and served as a member of the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology from 2009 to 2016.
In his research, Professor Schrag brings the deep geological past to bear on contemporary climate issues. He has also become a key voice in the public conversation on environmental questions. Here, he will discuss how he has balanced his multiple roles as a scientific researcher, a policy scholar, and a member of President Obama’s science council.
